Man drives over embankment at Bob Hope interchange
A driver walked away from a crash in Thousand Palms with minor injuries Wednesday night.
Witnesses say the driver of a white SUV was exiting I-10 Westbound and ended up driving through the Bob Hope Drive exit and off the embankment. They say the car went airborne as it left the roadway.
Rescue crews arrived in minutes and helped the driver out of the car, through the sunroof.
The man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
