Patriot Park in Cathedral City honors military veterans

Patriot Park in Cathedral City is covered in thousands of American flags ahead of Veterans Day.

It’s all a part of the Rotary Club’s “Healing Field,” its ninth annual tribute to fallen soldiers.

More than 5,000 flags commemorate those who have died while serving in the military since 9-11.

Each flag has the name, age, rank and branch of service of a fallen soldier.

Veterans Day is Tuesday but you can walk among the flags any time this week.

Patriot Park is located at the northeast corner of Date Palm Drive and Dinah Shore Drive.
