Suspects drive stolen truck into golf course lake while evading police
A man and woman were detained by the California Highway Patrol after a stolen truck pursuit ended in a lake at the 9th hole of Tahquitz Creek Golf Course in Palm Springs.
Police said the unusual scene happened just before 9 a.m. Tuesday when the pair crashed through a gate on Sonora Road, eventually ending up in the lake.
They both made it out of the truck safely and CHP officers were investigating the incident.
Authorities brought in a tow truck company to remove the truck from the water.
