Hiker discovers remains of missing man near Desert Hot Springs
The remains of a missing Oceanside man were recently discovered by a hiker in unincorporated Desert Hot Springs.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a hiker stumbled upon the skeletal remains of 51-year-old Kenneth Sollfrank on Wednesday, November 12, near Desert Crest Road.
Sollfrank hadn’t been seen for months. His brother called the Temecula Sheriff’s Station to file a missing person report on August 30th.
Deputy Armando Munoz said the sheriff’s department doesn’t suspect foul play at this time but the case is under investigation.
