Police investigate 3 deaths in Blythe

The Blythe Police Department is investigating the deaths of two women and a man.

The coroner’s office identified them as 65-year-old Ruth Leivas, 38-year-old Gloria Guzman, and 38-year-old Joshua Reno.

“Based on physical evidence and witness statements, there are no outstanding suspects,” Blythe police Lt. Jeff Wade said in a statement.

Officers were called to a home in the 300 block of South Sixth Street at about 7:15 p.m. Monday to investigate a report of three people injured at a home in the 300 block of South Sixth Street, police reported.

Blythe residents Ruth Leivas, 65, and Gloria Guzman, 38, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Joshua Reno, 38, also of Blythe, was taken to Palo Verde Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 8 p.m., authorities said.

Details of their deaths are limited at this time. The Blythe Police Department is investigating and News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 will bring you more information as soon as it’s available.
