Authorities shut down traffic on Highway 74 for over an hour Wednesday afternoon due to a three-car crash that happened about one mile north of Vista Point.
The accident happened around 2:20 p.m.
Officials said one person is in critical condition and was airlifted to the hospital. Three others were taken to the hospital by ambulance; one moderately injured and two with minor injuries.
Westbound lanes of Highway 74 were shut down at the National Monument Visitor’s Center while emergency crews cleared the scene.
There’s no word on the condition of the person who was critically injured.
