2 men rob Cabazon watch store at gunpoint

Deputies with the Cabazon Station are searching for two armed men who robbed the Tourneau Watch Outlet store at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets on Wednesday night.

Officials with the sheriff’s department said the robbery happened at 7:52 p.m. when two black men, wearing beige camouflage military-style uniforms, entered the store and asked the clerk for assistance with high-end watches.

When the clerk began displaying watches, the suspects walked behind the counter and each one pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, according to the sheriff’s release.

They demanded the clerk to place numerous watches into bags and then they ran out of the store with the stolen merchandise.

The first suspect is described as a black man, about 30 to 40-years-old, 5’10” tall and about 170 lbs.

The second suspect is also said to be a black man, about 20 to 30-years-old, 5’10” to 6′ tall and about 170 lbs.

The suspects are still on the run and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Investigator Pierson or Deputy Miller with the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station at 951-922-7100.
