Timo’s Air & Rancho Mirage team-up to gift new AC to Children’s Discovery Museum

CHILDREN'S DISCOVERY MUSEUM

The Children's Discovery Museum in Rancho Mirage has a brand new air conditioning system thanks to the generosity of the city and Timo's Air Conditioning & Heating.

Timo's Air was called out to the museum to check out a failed air conditioning system. The cost to replace a 10-ton commercial rooftop unit was over $19,000, a very large expense for any non-profit organization.

"We knew right away we wanted to do whatever we could for them," said Joe Time, President of Timo's Air

Timo's Air offered a $10,000 discount by removing the cost of labor, materials, permit fees, and profit. After receiving the proposal and hearing about Timo's contribution, the City of Rancho Mirage agreed to pay the difference.

"A new air conditioning unit would make a big difference out here to keep the kids and desert dwellers comfortable in the summer," said Craig Fettig, a member of the Children's Discovery Museum.

Good news for the museum as the new air conditioning system is being put in just in time for hotter temperatures to return.
