Bicyclist critically injured after collision with a suspected drunk driver in Palm Springs
A driver has been arrested on suspicion of a DUI after hitting a bicyclist with his car in Palm Springs early Saturday morning.
A spokesperson with the Palm Springs Police Department said the driver was in a white sedan while reportedly traveling on Ramon Road. He collided with the bicyclist who was crossing the street near Sunrise Way.
Police arrived on scene shortly after 1 a.m. and the driver was arrested on suspicion of a DUI then booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
