Three people have been arrested, while one woman remains on the run, in connection with a violent armed robbery over the summer at a jewelry store in Palm Desert.

The robbery happened on June 28 at the 111 Jewelry and Watch Repair store on the 73200 block of Highway 111.

Authorities said three suspects entered the business and held the owner at gunpoint. At one point during the robbery, a suspect struck an employee with an object, causing minor injuries. The robbers smashed the glass display cases and stole jewelry before fleeing the area.

Investigators did not disclose how much was stolen.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Palm Desert Investigations Bureau were able to identify the four suspects involved.

On August 9, a 26-year-old San Pedro man was arrested in Commerce, CA. That same day, authorities arrested a 23-year-old Colton man in Adelanto, CA.
