Suspect in deadly Joshua Tree shooting still wanted by law enforcement

A Morongo Valley man died from injuries suffered in a shooting Thursday night in Joshua Tree.

The violence was reported at 11:35 p.m. along the 4700 block of Avenue La Manana just north of downtown Joshua Tree.

Authorities said deputies responded to the area for reports of shots fired and found Richard Andrade, 52, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Andrade was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail said Andrade was shot while outside the residence.

Authorities said the suspect was unknown and remained at large.
