Clearing skies across the desert

This Tuesday began with the company of clouds overhead but a clearing is already taking place this afternoon and will continue through the evening.

Despite the clouds, temperatures still climbed above normal (73°) and into the 80s. It's not just the Coachella Valley experiencing these spring-like temperatures. Most of California is feeling the warmth that's just a little too warm for February.

Skies will remain clear into Wednesday as Palm Springs climbs near 80° once again. Slight cooling for the end of the week as a low pressure system nears the west coast but it's not until Saturday that we'll truly feel a difference, when highs drop to the low 70s.

As the front moves across the Southland, there is a chance for mountain snow in the highest elevations and even some showers around the desert. Check back for updates!
