Windy conditions remain for Sunday

Westerly winds are expected to increase Sunday afternoon and remain through Monday.

During this time, sustained gusts could reach between 25-35 MPH with peak gusts near 50-60 MPH in wind prone areas like the San Gorgonio Pass.

A Wind Advisory and an Air Quality Alert have been issued through late Monday morning due to these occasionally gusty conditions which could lead to low visibility and air quality.

The low pressure system that is ushering in these windy conditions is also filtering cooler air into the region. A cooling trend is set to continue into Monday with daytime highs in the low 80s and overnight lows in the 60s. Temperatures will rise closer to the seasonal average (89°) by the middle of the week.
