Mild conditions for the first day of meteorological winter
December 1st marks the first day of meteorological winter! It's a mild start to the season, with high temperatures just below average for the date.
The trough of low pressure that brought rain and snow to our mountains Thursday is continuing its trek east. In its place is a ridge of high pressure that will bring fair-weather conditions and a warming trend to Southern California.
The weekend will remain seasonable with highs in the low 70s, great news for all the triathletes in town who will be spending hours outdoors on Sunday. The warming will continue into the 80s for the middle of next week.
