Firefighters contain house fire in Indio
Firefighters were working to contain a house fire on the 45000 block of Deglet Noor Street on Friday morning.
The fire was reported at 8:04 a.m. near Miles Avenue.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters said a single family residence was well involved with flames when they arrived.
News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2’s Jeremy Chen was on scene, and says the house was abandoned, no one was inside the residence at the time of the blaze.
A neighbor told KESQ News Channel 3 / CBS Local 2 News the same abandoned house had caught fire this year on July 1.
The structure was said to be a total loss, but firefighters had not yet released the fire’s cause or a damage estimate.
