New Sonic Drive-In opens in Indio
Chandi Group USA is celebrating the Grand Opening of the first SONIC, America’s Drive-In®, in Indio today.
The new Indio SONIC is located at 42-350 Jefferson Street, just one block north of I-10. The drive-in will be open from 6 a.m. until midnight Monday through Thursday, and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
According to the Chandi Group, about 110 jobs were created with the opening of the new restaurant.
“We are proud to be the first franchisee to bring the SONIC experience to the Eastern Coachella Valley,” said Nachhattar Chandi, President of Chandi Group USA. “In addition to our famous drive-in, it will also feature a drive-thru and the valley’s first SONIC indoor dining room, to accommodate up to 60 guests. The drive-in has 14 parking stalls for cars to pull in for carhop service, offering our fans many ways to enjoy SONIC.”
The first 14 carhop customers and the first 2 drive-thru customers will receive a free Platinum Car Wash Membership for one month of car washes at the am/pm car wash at the same location, a $49.95 value.
