Yucca Valley man arrested for active warrant

A Yucca Valley man is in custody after a deputy found him in violation of probation terms and having an active warrant.

On Monday at 5:17 a.m. a deputy from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station conducted a pedestrian check on 22-year old William Phillips near Twenty-Nine Palms Highway and Adobe Road in the Twentynine Palms.

The deputy discovered Phillips was on felony probation for assault with a deadly weapon. A records check showed he was out of compliance with the terms of his probation and there was an active warrant for his arrest.

Phillips was arrested for the warrant and booked to the Morongo Basin Jail, on his no bail warrant.
