Police use Taser on combative man at Indio apartment complex
Indio police arrested a man Tuesday morning after he caused a disturbance at a senior apartment complex.
Officers received a call at 10 a.m. about possible trespassing at that property located near Monroe Street and Avenue 48.
The apartment complex management did not want the man at the residence of two elderly women — the suspect is related to one of women — because he caused problems there before, according to Sgt. Dan Marshall.
Police say the man became combative with the officers and a Taser had to be used to slow him down.
No officers or people in the community were injured.
The suspect was identified on Thursday by police as 48-year-old Sean Solis of Indio.
Solid did suffer an injury but was taken to the hospital and then sent to jail.
He was arrested for for resisting arrest and trespassing.
