Local organizers prepare for rain ahead of New Year’s Eve events

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) - Local organizers say New Year’s Eve plans are moving forward despite a chance of rain in the forecast.

Organizers say they are monitoring conditions closely and have contingency plans in place. Possible adjustments could include shifting schedules slightly, adding covered areas, or modifying outdoor setups to keep guests safe and comfortable.

Organizers encourage attendees to dress for the weather and check event updates before heading out.

Unless weather conditions worsen significantly, celebrations are expected to ring in the New Year as scheduled.
