Drones light up the night sky in Palm Desert

Drones lit up the night sky above Palm Desert Wednesday night.

‘Intel’ held an invite-only drone light show at the JW Marriott to connect entrepreneurs and tech industry leadership. The same drone shows have been featured all over the world, including the 2018 Olympics, the Superbowl and most recently at Coachella Fest.

“So what’s really cool about this ‘Intel’ technology is that we can control hundreds even thousands of drones with just one pilot, one computer, one pilot and that’s all you need,” said Natalie Cheung, general manager for the drone shows. “The beauty of all this is that it’s preprogrammed, so even before we fly it in the sky, you know whats going to happen. It’s simply a press of a button and off they go.”

The show comes just months ahead of Intel’s 50th-anniversary drone light show, where they plan to break the world record for the most drones flown simultaneously.
