Transient arrested for check fraud, parole violation in Indio

Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies from the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team arrested a transient in Indio Tuesday for attempting to cash a stolen check and for a parole violation.

On January 9, 48-year-old Christopher Castle reportedly attempted to cash a stolen check a Bank of America in Indio, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department news release. Deputies from the special enforcement team were able to contact Castle at a Del Taco in Indio while in the process of conducting a mail theft investigation.

Deputies, with the assistance of parole officers and a CK9 unit, then arrested Castle on January 15.

He was booked into Indio Jail for check fraud and a parole violation.

He is set to appear in court on January 24 at 10:30 a.m.
