At this time, authorities haven’t officially released the identities of the man and woman. Parents tell News Channel 3 the woman was 23-year-old Paola Minero, a mother of three.

“There are no words to describe how it feels… she was my only daughter,” said Arcelia Sandoval, the mother of the woman.

Sandoval says the man who shot and killed Minero was the father of Minero’s three children. She said the two had been in a relationship but were separated at the time of the shooting.

Sandoval said the pair did have previous domestic issues but never would have imagined it to escalate to this.

She’s remembering her daughter as a good and kind mother to her 3 young girls.

“She was a good girl. We had a good relationship. She talked to me about all of her problems. She didn’t go out, she always stayed home with the girls, and we took care of the girls together,” Sandoval said.

Sandoval and her husband are now caring for Minero’s children.

The family has started a GoFundMe to raise money to pay for her funeral services. Click here if you would like to donate.
