Yucca Valley woman arrested for child cruelty

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Wednesday, charged with willful cruelty to a child.

Deputies from the Morongo Basin Station reported that they arrived to the 7300 block of Joshua View Drive in the town of Yucca Valley on February 13 to investigate a report of child abuse. After a lengthy investigation, authorities arrested Brittany Asfahani, 29, booking her into the Morongo Basin Jail.

During the investigation, law enforcement officials determined that Asfahani was also on felony probation for a previous charge of willful cruelty to a child.

All the child victims are known to Asfahani, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials, who did not release the exact relationship between the children and Asfahani for confientiality reasons.

The Morongo Basin Detective Bureau assisted with the investigation. Anyone with information related to this crime is asked to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station at (760) 366-4175. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may contact We-Tip at 1-888-78-CRIME.
