3.0 Earthquake Hits Near Desert Hot Springs

A 3.0 earthquake hit the desert at 5:38 Wednesday night.

It was centered just 4 miles west of Desert Hot Springs.

There were no reports of any injuries or damage.

“Did You Feel It Maps” show the quake was felt in Desert Hot Springs, Yucca Valley, Morongo Valley, Palm Springs and Palm Desert.

Another earthquake hit an area southeast of the Coachella Valley Wednesday afternoon.

A 3.7 magnitude earthquake hit near Julian at 2:58 p.m.

There were no reports of damage during that earthquake.
