First Snow Of Season Hits Mt. San Jacinto

Palm Springs residents were treated to a view of snow on the San Jacinto range today.

Between two to three inches of snow fell atop Mount San Jacinto, which stands at more than 8,500 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

In Idyllwild, about 0.25 of an inch of slush was recorded, the NWS reported.

More snow could be on the way starting Tuesday afternoon at elevations greater than 5,500 feet, according to the weather service.
