Yucaipa Honors Fallen Soldier

The Yucaipa Community shows it’s support to the family of Tyler Davis, a soldier killed in Afghanistan earlier this month.

Tyler Davis from Yucaipa, was 20 years old when he was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan. Tyler was killed on June 9, in Tore Obeh, Afghanistan after his vehicle was hit with an IED or improvised explosive device.

Davis was assigned to the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, out of Alaska.

The Yucaipa community gathered at a memorial service on Friday afternoon to honor the fallen soldier.

City officials asked the community to line the streets in support of Tyler and the Davis family.
