CHP, other agencies respond to Indio shooting
A California Highway Patrol spokesman confirms their officers are on the scene of a shooting at the Las Brisas apartment complex in Indio.
Details are very limited, but police radio traffic indicates ambulances and other law enforcement units were dispatched to the complex, near the intersection of Hoover Street and Monroe Avenue just after 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

The Department of Social Services and the Workforce Development Center were locked down for a short amount of time. Officials told KESQ they would be clearing the buildings shortly.
There is no confirmation who was shot or how many victims there may be.
