Suspect detained in deadly Desert Hot Springs shooting
A man was shot and killed in Desert Hot Springs Friday night.
Police say officers were first called to the Azteca apartment complex, on Calle Azteca, near Avenida Hermosa,around 8:50 p.m.
Two men were in an argument when one of them opened fire, police said. The victim was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
According to authorities, the suspect initally fled the scene, but later turned himself in. He has now been detained. No word on how the two men knew each other.
