Woman wanted for questioning about a fatal hit-and-run behind bars

A women wanted for questioning about a fatal hit-and-run accident is behind bars.

Police were searching for 27-year-old Cheryl Dvoracek to ask her questions about a hit-and-run collision in Yucca Valley on Feb. 28, in which a pedestrian was killed.

But Dvoracek could not be found at the time for questioning.

On Thursday, Dvoracek was located by deputies at a residence on Amador Avenue in Yucca Valley and detained for outstanding warrants.

Forty-four-year-old Eduardo Villegas was also found and arrested for accessory to hit-and-run and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Dvoracek and Villegas were booked at the Morongo Basin Jail.
