2 girls hit while trying to catch ice cream truck
Two girls were hit by a car Thursday afternoon in Indio after they ran across the street to try and catch up with an ice cream truck., according to Ben Guitron with the Indio Police Department.
Luckily the girls weren’t seriously injured, but they were taken to the hospital with minor injuries as a precautionary measure.
Guitron said the accident happened near Bliss Avenue and Sungold Street.
The girls were hit by a car driving in the opposite direction of the ice cream truck.
