Rides offered to Marines returning from holiday leave

Two car clubs came together Thursday to bring Marines safely to the airport as they return from holiday leave.

Morongo Basin Old Car Club and the Palm Springs Cruising Association provided special transportation to the Marines.

SOS, an organization that provides rides to Marines, set up the event at Palm Springs City Hall as a way to give back by helping with some of the travel expenses.

Over the next couple of days, 1,200 Marines will get transported from the Palm Springs International Airport and the Ontario International Airport. SOS is looking for volunteers and donations, if you’d like to help, visit http://www.sosride.org.
