Power restored in Desert Hot Springs

A power outage that was caused by a traffic accident caused the lights to go out for over 1,000 Southern California Edison customers in Desert Hot Springs on Friday.

According to the utility company’s website, the power went out at 5:09 a.m. and affected residents in the area of Camino Aventura, Via Montana and Via Campesino.

Crews responded to downed power lines and were able to restore power to the area by Friday afternoon.

There’s was no more information listed about the accident that led to the power outage.
