3 people accused in fraud case in Cabazon

Three people are in jail, accused of using fake gift cards at the outlet stores in Cabazon.

Police say they found 33-year old Amy Reyes and 32-year old Vito Lopez of Hemet, and 23-year old Elizabeth Paniagua of Riverside, with several bags of merchandise from different stores.

A search turned up around 150 fake gift cards that authorities think they used to buy more than $2,000 worth of goods from the stores.

Deputies say they found another 75 gift cars in a nearby car that was registered to Paniagua.

Reyes, Paniagua, and Lopez are charged with forging credit cards, burglary, and conspiracy.
