International walk to school day held across Coachella Valley schools

Local students will be walking or biking to school today in the international event, which promotes physical activity and safe routes to school.

The events, sponsored locally by the Riverside County Department of Public Health Safe Routes to School Program, also “build connections between families, schools and the broader community”, PSUSD spokeswoman Joan Boiko said.
