Indio Blvd reopens at Hwy 111 after 2-car crash

Westbound traffic on Indio Boulevard was shut down for a couple of hours at Highway 111 Monday morning after a Volkswagen collided with a Ford Explorer.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. The Indio Police Department said one person sustained minor injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center.

Indio Boulevard was reopened to westbound traffic at about 1 p.m.
