Cab company hiring drivers in Palm Desert Tuesday

Yellow Cab of the Desert is looking to hire more drivers. The company is holding a job fair in Palm Desert on Tuesday to help fill positions.

The job fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hampton Suites, located at 74900 Gerald Ford Drive. Organizers said they’re looking for transportation professionals to work as independent contractors.

You could earn up to $40,000 to $60,000 per year depending upon your schedule and availability, according to the release.

Officials said candidates must meet the following requirements:

Must speak English
Pass a criminal background check and drug test
Must be at least 23 years old
Must have a valid California drivers license

Company officials said prior experience isn’t required to get the job.
