One flown to hospital in Coachella crash
One person was taken to the hospital by helicopter after a two-car crash in Coachella Monday morning, says CALFire’s Jennifer Fuhrman.
The crash between a black Ford Explorer truck and a dark grey Toyota sedan happened at Avenue 54 and Grapefruit at 5:23 a.m.
CALFire and Riverside County firefighters used the jaws of life to cut someone out of a car, and an “air ambulance” flew the victim, with moderate injuries, to a local hospital.
Officers shut down the surrounding area for cleanup and investigation.
It’s not clear at this time how the crash happened, or how many other people may have been injured.
