Dead body discovered in Palm Springs homeless encampment
Palm Springs Police are investigating the discovery of a dead body in a Palm Springs homeless encampment Thursday.
Police were called to the area of Highway 111 and Gateway Drive just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday, of a report of a dead body in a drainage culvert.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene to investigate. The cause of death and the identity of the victim is unknown at this time and the investigation is continuing.
