Fire burns home in Palm Desert

A home in Palm Desert is 75% burned following a fire early Sunday morning.

CALFire says the fire started around 5:30 a.m. at a single-story home on the 42000 block of Wisconsin Avenue, and quickly burned. The flames initially posed a threat to other structures, but CALFire got a handle on the fire and stopped the spread.

It took crews 50 minutes to put out the flames, according to CALFire.

The homeowner was not home at the time.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
