Blythe man accused of luring children at bus stops & child rape

A Blythe man has pleaded not guilty to luring children into his car near school bus stops.

Jeff Hsieh appeared in an Indio courtroom Wednesday at the Larson Justice Center.

He is charged with a felony count of stalking and another misdemeanor count of child annoyance. Officers arrested Hsieh last Thursday in an unincorporated community near Blythe.

Prosecutors say he is also under investigation for allegedly raping a child and arranging sham marriages between Chinese nationals and American citizens.

Hsieh remains in custody in lieu of a million dollars bail.

Prosecutors had demanded the high bail because they consider Hsieh a flight risk due to his connections to China and Las Vegas.

He’s due back in court later this month on the 19th.
