Officer-involved shooting investigated east of Temecula

Deputies are investigating after an officer-involved shooting occurred in Aguanga Friday morning.

Officers said they were investigating a domestic disturbance in the 54000 block of Wildwood Drive in Idyllwild, and during the course of the investigation, they responded to an area in the 44000 block of Jacob Court in Aguanga.

When they arrived, they made contact with the suspect and the officer-involved shooting occurred, according to officials. They don’t know the condition of the suspect who was still inside the residence.

Additional law enforcement was being sent to the area and News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 will have more specifics as soon as they’re available.

No deputies were injured during the incident.
