Preliminary Election Day results released

Election Day is wrapping up. Take a look at final voting results as all precincts have reported.

Note from the Riverside County Registrar of Voters Office: About 3,500 vote-by-mail, 1,500 provisional and 100 damaged ballots that require duplication still must be processed. Work on those begins Wednesday. Ballots that are postmarked on or before Election Day and received no later than three days after Election Day also remain to be counted. The next updated results will be posted at 6 p.m. Friday.

These are vote-by-mail ballots spanning throughout Riverside County, so it remains to be seen if the remaining ballots will change any of the closer races in Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs.

The polls closed at 8 p.m. As of 11:15 p.m., 17 of 17 precincts were reporting out of Palm Springs, and seven of seven precincts were reporting in Desert Hot Springs.

The Registrar of Voters Office will continue to count mail-in ballots before the final results are tabulated. Here are the primary results.
