Police searching for suspect in Cathedral City shooting

A person was hospitalized after being shot in Cathedral City, authorities said today.

The shooting was reported at about 11 p.m. Thursday in the 31400 block
of Sky Blue Water Trail, just east of the Cimarron Golf Resort, Cathedral City police Sgt. Jon Enos said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, but there was no information regarding the condition of the patient, Enos said.

Detectives were working active leads today, and believed that the incident was not gang-related, Lt. Paul Herrera said.

There was no suspect information available.
