2 injured in Palm Springs crash

Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Palm Springs Thursday afternoon.

Palm Springs Police say that around 2:30 p.m. they got a call of two cars colliding at the intersection of Vista Chino and Via Miraleste, one knocking over a light pole.

Police shut down Westbound Vista Chino, between Via Miraleste and Avenida Caballeros for about an hour. Police say both drivers were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
