Bermuda Dunes man pleads guilty, receives probation for vehicle burglary spree
An ex-con who stole more than $30,000 in property during a spree of Coachella Valley vehicle burglaries admitted guilt and was sentenced to three years probation.
Christian Slocum, 41, of Bermuda Dunes entered his guilty plea to charges of burglary, receiving stolen property and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Slocum was arrested Feb. 9 following an investigation into at least seven vehicle break-ins that occurred between last November and February in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta and Bermuda Dunes, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Ben Ramirez.
Deputies served a search warrant at Slocum’s home, where they found numerous stolen items, including laptop and tablet computers, GPS navigation systems, cell phones, several sets of golf clubs, jewelry and high-end cameras, the sergeant said.
