2 injured, 8 forced out of Indio home due to fire

A fire in Indio this morning heavily damaged a home, injuring two people and forcing at least eight people out of the house.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire crews said it was first reported around 8:30 at a home located in the 82000 block of Solano Avenue.

First responders took two people to a local hospital after suffering minor injuries.

Firefighters contained the blaze in about an hour and a half, but not before it destroyed the garage and part of the attic.
