3.2 earthquake hits near El Centro

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported early Sunday near El Centro.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck 5 miles from El Centro at 6:20 a.m.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 10 miles from Brawley and 18 miles from Mexicali, Mexico.
