Vector control conducting inspections in Mecca

Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District crews conducted inspections in the east valley after Aedes aegypti mosquitoes were detected last week in Mecca.

District employees will be inspecting about 400 homes in the coming weeks, searching for mosquito breeding grounds such as standing bodies of water.

KESQ News Channel 3’s and CBS Local 2’s Lauren Coronado joined crews on their door-to-door campaign and will have a full report on KESQ News Channel 3 at 6 p.m.
