Yucca Valley man facing charges related to firing a gun during confrontation

A Yucca Valley man has been arrested on charges related to firing a gun during a confrontation.

It happened just after 7:30 Monday night, at a home near David Avenue and Indio Avenue.

Deputies say they found the man hiding in the attic of a home, in the 6300 block of Linda Lee Drive.

38-year-old Steve Hernandez was arrested and taken to the Morongo Basin jail, with bail set at $50 thousand.

The woman whose attic he was hiding in was also arrested.
