Package thief caught on camera in Palm Springs
Do you recognize this woman?
At around 1:35 p.m. Monday, a woman wearing a red tank top, dark shorts, and dark sandals was caught on camera taking a package from the front stoop of a home near Gene Autry Trail and Via Escuela in Palm Springs.
According to the homeowner, the package contained light bulbs, valued at about $40. The carrier and lighting company have been alerted to the theft.
The homeowners are new to the area, just moving to Palm Springs in August, and haven’t had issues with package theft before this incident. The homeowner says the package was dropped off at 1:30, and speculates that the woman may have been following around the delivery truck, waiting to scoop packages from other homes.
